FHIMA 2 + 2 Advocacy Assistant

Welcome to the FHIMA 2 + 2 Advocacy Assistant. The Assistant is designed to address advocacy and government relations at the federal, state, and local level. The tool kit will describe advocacy and advocacy elements while also providing important resources and electronic links to helpful information.

The purpose of the 2 + 2 Advocacy Assistant is to improve FHIMA's advocacy initiatives with federal and state legislatures, administrative agencies, and the communities in which we live.

Grass Roots Action Center

Welcome to the Florida Health Information Management Association’s Grass Roots Action Center. FHIMA utilizes proven Internet-based technology tools from voterVOICE to launch and manage grassroots lobbying campaigns and other governmental affairs activities. It's an extremely effective method of mobilizing FHIMA members across Florida into action. It requires very little time from individual members but has an enormous impact combined with the amplified voices of many members.  Using your home and/or office addresses, this system automatically matches your home and/or office addresses to corresponding political districts. Once you sign up as a member and input your address information, all of your state and federal contacts will appear in your record. Information contained in your record is stored on secure servers and is inaccessible to anyone outside FHIMA government affairs and communications staff.

Thank you for your interest and desire to be involved in the Grass Roots Action Center. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact Carolyn Glavan at info@fhima.org.
