With sadness and extreme gratitude, the FHIMA Board of Directors announces Carolyn Glavan’s resignation as Executive Director of the Florida Health Information Management Association, effective February 28, 2018. Since 2005, Carolyn has played a critical role in the development and success of the organization, and while we will miss her, we wish her the best of luck. We want to thank Carolyn for her 12 years of dedicated service to FHIMA and our membership.
Over the next few months, we will be transitioning the Executive Director functions and duties to Partners in Association Management and Dee Kring, CAE, CMP. During this transition period, it is our priority to find the best solution to managing FHIMA’s activities and membership services. We will share many details about our progress with Dee and Partners and re-evaluate our long-term plans in August 2018 to continue to ensure FHIMA is on a successful trajectory to maintain our vision to be the recognized leader in Health Information Management for the state of Florida.
Again, we cannot thank Carolyn enough for the dedication, passion, enthusiasm, and motivation she has given FHIMA over the past 12 years. The Board will greatly miss Carolyn’s dedicated support as well as members and partners. We are looking forward to continued success, and we are excited for the next chapter of FHIMA as we continue to support and promote health information management professionals by advancing best practices through education, technology, professional development, leadership, advocacy, and communication. If you have any questions or concerns during this process, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
